Job summary

iCapital’s Distributed Ledger Technology team seeks a Senior Blockchain Backend Engineer to develop an industry-wide ledger for the private markets ecosystem. You will design private ledgers, build robust REST APIs with Python/FastAPI, and provide technical leadership across squads.

The role requires 9+ years in software engineering, 3+ years of technical leadership, and expertise with DAML/Solidity and AWS. Hybrid schedule; in-office Mon-Thu, remote Fri, with equity and annual bonus benefits.

Qualifications

• 9+ years software engineering experience
• 3+ years technical leadership/management experience
• Experience with DAML, Solidity, or other blockchain languages
• Experience with Python and FastAPI
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts and modeling
• Experience building APIs for large-scale applications using AWS

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a private distributed ledger using DAML or Canton and other open source frameworks
• Build and maintain a RESTful API using Python and FastAPI
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
• Participate in daily stand-ups and code reviews
• Stay current with blockchain developments and apply them to the iCapital ecosystem
