Job summary

iCapital Network in New York, NY, is seeking a Senior Blockchain Backend Engineer to build an industry-wide distributed ledger enabling advisors and high-net-worth clients to access private markets with innovative technology.

You will design a private, permissioned ledger using DAML or Canton, build RESTful APIs in Python with FastAPI, and provide technical leadership across engineering teams while staying current with evolving blockchain tech.

Qualifications

• 9+ years software engineering experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions.
• 3+ years technical leadership and management experience.
• Experience with DAML, Solidity, or other blockchain programming languages.
• Experience with Python, Docker, and FastAPI.
• Demonstrated understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices.
• Experience building APIs for large scale applications using AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a private and permissioned distributed ledger using DAML or Canton and other open source blockchain frameworks.
• Build and maintain a RESTful API using Python and FastAPI.
• Provide technical leadership to motivate and guide team members and mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and peer code reviews as part of the standard SDLC.
• Stay current with the latest developments in blockchain technology and incorporate them into the iCapital ecosystem.
