Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Jersey City is seeking a hands-on Lead Architect to drive the technical target state for key products and capabilities.

You will work with engineering teams to design, build, and evolve secure, resilient solutions that meet current business needs while enabling future growth. You will leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate architecture discovery, with strong human-in-the-loop validation and careful handling of sensitive data.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Proficiency across software development life cycle execution, including automation and CI/CD, with emphasis on resilience and security.
Demonstrated proficiency in a technical discipline (cloud, AI/ML, or mobile) and evaluating technologies for future-state solutions.
Experience applying enterprise AI capabilities in software engineering and architecture workflows with strong validation and data-sensitivity awareness.
Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into cloud-native architectures with resiliency and security.
Hands-on experience with public blockchain ledger platforms including Ethereum (Solidity, EVM) and Layer 1/Layer 2 chains such as Solana.
Knowledge of broader blockchain tooling: wallets, RPC providers, block explorers, indexers, and on-chain/off-chain integration patterns.

Responsibilities

Engage technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needs.
Define the technical target state of your product and drive achievement of the strategy.
Leverage enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture discovery and decisioning, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data.
Evaluate recommendations and provide feedback on new technologies, including outcomes-oriented evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and applicability within existing systems and information.
Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others.
Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
Establish reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across SDLC and toolchain practices, ensuring traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security controls.
