Job summary

Duke University School of Nursing seeks a Biostatistician III to join the Health Statistics and Data Science Core. You will develop analysis plans, perform advanced analyses, and contribute to manuscripts and grant proposals with faculty investigators.

You will work on diverse research studies from design through dissemination, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and expanding expertise in AI-enabled analytics and reproducible methods.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in (bio) statistics or related field required; or a Master’s with 2 years relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s with 4 years relevant experience.
• Experience with clinical trials or research projects involving statistical analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain statistical concepts to non‑statisticians.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and document statistical analysis plans for studies in the School of Nursing.
• Perform and interpret a wide range of statistical analyses with minimal supervision.
• Provide statistical consultation to investigators and research teams.
