Job summary

Beacon Biosignals seeks a Senior Algorithm and Machine Learning engineer to build, deploy, and maintain models analyzing brain signals for sleep, neurological, and psychiatric therapy development.

You will collaborate with data scientists, neuroscientists, engineers, and clinicians to scope and execute projects across the full algorithm lifecycle. The work is fully remote in the U.S. with a competitive salary and equity package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry experience in machine learning and deep learning, particularly in health sciences or other regulated fields, with a proven track record of bringing algorithms into production.
• Proficient with PyTorch (preferred) or other deep learning frameworks for training, development, and deployment.
• Proficient with latest DL advances (Transformer/ViT, large-scale modeling, large model training).
• Experience with biosignals, medical imaging data, or large time-series datasets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the biosignal-based algorithm development lifecycle from specifications to deployment and maintenance.
• Select and develop appropriate methods, including deep learning and non-ML approaches, as needed.
• Enhance internal DL/ML tools to boost team efficiency and enable rapid experimentation.
• Document, test (unit tests, CI, non-regression) and ensure quality of algorithm implementations.
• Present results to stakeholders and assist clients in leveraging algorithms for engagement.
