Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in a science field required.
• Two years of full-time microbiology experience required.
• Experience with BSL-3 microbiology procedures preferred.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Officer in biosafety training and practices.
• Oversee development of biosafety policies and procedures.
• Lead Laboratory Safety Committee education and training.
• Perform respiratory fit testing and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Coordinate emergency response and disaster recovery activities.
