Job summary

Super Micro Computer, Inc. is seeking a talented Sr. Firmware Engineer to develop world class firmware for in-house servers, focusing on networking products, and maximizing hardware architecture. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to design robust networking products.

The candidate should bring extensive C/C++, Java skills; experience with Linux, IPMI/IPMI vendors, and EFI BIOS firmware is a plus. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• BS in EE/CS/CE preferred.
• 8+ years of firmware development experience preferred.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Java.
• Experience in Linux OS using source code control systems.
• Working knowledge of IPMI firmware vendors (AMI or Aten).
• Capability to design and develop for IPMI firmware requirements.
• Good knowledge of enclosure management protocol and standards.
• Excellent system-level debugging skills.
• EFI BIOS firmware knowledge a plus.
• Linux and Windows device driver development experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, test, deliver, and document firmware.
• Maintain BMC, CMM and SAS Expander Firmware for Server System.
• Author firmware specifications, develop firmware code, and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with hardware design team members.
• Oversee all software and firmware related issues during planning, development, and validation.
