Job summary

MaverickX is seeking a Senior BioProcess Engineer to lead hands-on process development, fermentation, and scaling activities for field trials and eventual commercial manufacture. The role covers pilot-scale operations and collaboration with discovery, QA, and supply chain teams in a fast-paced biotech environment.

The position requires experience in biologics process development, supervision of teams, and strong data analysis skills, with on-site work in Austin/ Pleasanton, TX.

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with biologics process development or manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading small teams and cross-functional projects.
• Strong knowledge of fermentation and downstream processing.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-house process development and pilot-scale fermentation.
• Assist design of intermediate and commercial-scale facilities.
• Collaborate with discovery, QA, and supply chain teams.
• Troubleshoot upstream/downstream issues and drive improvements.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
