Job summary

Visium Resources has been asked to recruit a Senior Engineering Program Manager for our client's growing team in Kankakee, IL. The role involves leading engineers through design, commissioning, qualification, startup and project management of bioprocess facilities.

Candidates must have 15+ years in pharma/biotech engineering and project management, with leadership and mentorship skills. Strong knowledge of cGMP and AutoCAD is expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering/project management in pharma/biotech.
• Lead teams across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Experience with cGMP requirements in biopharma.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for design, commissioning and startup of equipment and facilities.
• Lead or support project execution from feasibility to handover; manage budgets, schedules, risks.
• Review technical docs like P&IDs, specs, layouts, datasheets; ensure safety considerations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (process, automation, construction, EHS) and vendor partners.
• Visit sites, supervise contractors during critical installations, and support during shutdowns as needed.
