Job summary

Medtronic in Jacksonville, FL seeks an experienced engineer to join the Neuroscience/ENT-focused team. You will perform varied duties in electronics, mechanical, and optical areas, draft schematics, and model components in 3D CAD.

The role requires at least 4 years of relevant experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with CAD software (PTC Creo) and 3D printing is a plus; on-site work four days a week is expected.

Nice-to-Have: CAD software (PTC Creo) and 3D printing/prototyping, PLC programming basics.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of duties in electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
Develops, constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Drafts electrical and pneumatic schematics as required for simple and complex systems.
Designs and models components and assemblies in 3D CAD software.
Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
