Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network is seeking a BMET II to maintain and repair biomedical equipment across the enterprise, lead small teams, and coordinate with vendors, IT, and clinical staff. You will configure devices, program systems, and interface with EPIC and other IT systems.

Required: Associate Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology; preferred Bachelor in Electrical or Biomedical Engineering. Minimum 2 years as BMET I with AAMI BMET cert, or 6 years without.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience as BMET I with AAMI BMET certification
• Alternatively 6 years BMET I experience without certification
• Two or more OEM trainings on advanced medical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex equipment
• Able to train BMET I or Co-ops as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist in operational issues and document errors; provide additional training
• Diagnose, install/upgrade, service/repair assigned systems
• Coordinate with vendors, IT, facilities, and clinical teams
• Implement and document devices to test medical devices or setups
• Provide training classes for biomedical staff and clinical users
• Perform or oversee PM, QA, and inspections per guidelines
• Document work in CE management system
• On-call responsibilities as needed
