Job summary

Vitruvian Health, formerly Hamilton Health Care System, is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to repair, inspect, install, troubleshoot, and calibrate clinical equipment. You will serve as a front-line responder for escalated service events in a hospital environment.

The role requires advanced electromechanical system knowledge, strong patient-safety focus, and collaboration with clinical teams. AAMI-CRES certification and relevant education are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree, military training, or academic work aligned with AAMI’s Core Competencies for the Biomedical Equipment Technician preferred, with substantial experience required plus increased levels of certification and training in area of specialty.
• Licensure: AAMI-CRES Certification preferred.
• Advanced understanding of general electromechanical systems and devices as applied to their specialty.
• Ability to communicate the use of devices supported.
• Advanced support of acuity equipment for direct patient care.
• In-depth understanding of hospital/clinic environments and life sciences terminology.

Responsibilities

• Repairing, inspecting, installing, troubleshooting, and calibrating equipment in the area of specialty.
• Serving as a front-line responder for escalated service events.
• Maintaining regulatory and safety compliance within local and national standards.
