The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Biomedical Engineer to provide professional engineering support for a complex Biomedical Engineering Program. You will help assess, acquire, implement, and maintain medical equipment while supporting patient care delivery and safety at the Medical Center.

You will advise clinical staff, coordinate with contracting, and contribute to long-range planning, training, and documentation to ensure reliable, safe technology across services.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• English language proficiency in speech and writing.
• CCE certification plus bachelor’s degree may qualify.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee planning, direction, and execution of Biomedical Program activities.
• Advise on selection and use of medical equipment for clinical staff.
• Participate in technology assessment, acquisition, and implementation of equipment.
• Contribute to budget forecasting, maintenance strategies, and cost analysis.
