Axogen, Inc. in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Senior Engineer, R&D to lead the development of innovative products for peripheral nerve injuries from concept to commercialization.

You will work with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Marketing, and Medical Affairs to ensure alignment and successful project execution. The role emphasizes biomaterials expertise, design controls, and regulatory understanding, with a focus on delivering safe, effective medical devices and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Product development experience required.
• Experience applying biomaterial composition, structure, and chemistry to solve design challenges.
• Experience in FDA-regulated industry with ISO and QSR preferred.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsabilités

• Leads development of new products to treat peripheral nerve injuries from concept through commercialization.
• Serves as technical lead for moderately complex product development projects.
• Collaborates with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Marketing, and Medical Affairs.
• Translates user needs into product and design requirements; prototypes and evaluates concepts.
