Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Senior Research Statistician to provide statistical support across discovery, translational science, and clinical development programs. The role includes biomarker data design, analysis, and reporting to enable objective drug development decisions.

The candidate will work under supervision with researchers and clinicians, applying advanced statistical methods and ML techniques to multi-dimensional biomarker data from early discovery through late-stage trials.

Qualifications

• MS (with 4+ years of experience) or PhD (with 0+ years of experience) in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a highly related field.
• Research experience in the pharma or healthcare space.
• Experience with Machine Learning
• Experience with Biomarker Research

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with discovery and translational biomarker scientists and clinicians to design, analyze and report biomarker and assay studies for early and late phase clinical trials.
• Contribute to design, analysis and reporting of biomarker-based clinical trials or other scientific studies; develop biomarker analysis plans.
• Ensure data are sensible and high quality for the statistical analyses and deliverables.
• Advise scientists in discovery and translational science units in study design, analysis, and reporting of in vitro/in vivo pharmacology and human clinical trials.
• Perform statistical analyses per the biomarker analysis plan; identify potential issues in study design; propose robust methods.
• Support publication of scientific research and explain statistical concepts to non-statisticians.

Education

MS/PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics or related field
