Job summary

AbbVie in the United States is seeking a Senior Research Statistician to provide statistical support across drug discovery, target identification and biomarker exploration, enabling precision medicine decisions.

You will design, analyze, and report multi-dimensional biomarker data from discovery to late-stage clinical development, collaborating with scientists and clinicians to ensure conclusions are sound and clearly communicated.

Qualifications

• MS (with 4+ years of experience) or PhD (with 0+ years of experience) in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a highly related field.
• Experience with machine learning and biomedical data analysis.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain statistical concepts to non-statisticians.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with biomarker scientists and clinicians on design, analysis and reporting of biomarker studies.
• Support biomarker-based clinical trials and exploratory research with appropriate statistical methodology.
• Ensure data quality and integrity for assigned analyses and deliverables.
• Identify biomarkers/signatures from omics/imaging data for target identification and patient stratification.
• Perform statistical analyses per plans, flag potential issues, and discuss method choices with supervisors.
• Contribute to publication of scientific results and effective data presentation to cross-functional teams.
