Job summary

Precise Systems, Inc. is hiring a Senior Biomanufacturing Engineer to lead pilot-scale and large-scale downstream processing efforts, including distillation and liquid-liquid extraction. You will guide project teams, translate bench methods to pilot systems, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Requires 5+ years in leadership of manufacturing processes, experience with hazardous locations, and strong communication. Secret clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biochemical Engineering or related field preferred but others will be considered depending on experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role executing pilot- or large-scale manufacturing processes.
• Experience/understanding of hazardous location operations (NEC/NFPA knowledge preferred).
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in distillation, liquid-liquid extraction, centrifugation, and other pilot-scale operations.
• Familiarity with ASTM, ANSI, ASME, ISO, and related safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of project-specific process improvements in the Biochemical DSP space.
• Mentor/train engineers and operators on large-scale processes, equipment, and industry standards.
• Balance timelines, budgeting, and resources to execute projects while allowing for equipment maintenance and facility improvements.
• Coordinate commissioning and site acceptance tests of new equipment as needed.
• Translate bench-scale downstream processes to pilot-scale operations and document results.
• Maintain SOPs and detailed records of laboratory operations and process data.
