Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Biologist & Permitting Specialist to lead environmental permitting for infrastructure projects across Washington State and the Pacific Northwest. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams of biologists, engineers, and planners to produce regulatory studies, reports, and permits, while guiding fieldwork and client interactions.

Ideal candidates have extensive wetlands and ESA/NEPA experience, strong project leadership, and a track record mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science or related field.
• 15+ years of environmental consulting or agency experience.
• Knowledge of WA and federal permitting programs (Clean Water Act, USACE 404/401).

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to assemble regulatory studies, reports, and permits.
• Oversee field surveys of aquatic resources and habitat in WA and PN W states.
• Support NEPA documents and ESA compliance; assist with proposals and BD.
