NC State University’s Genome Editing Center is seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist to lead molecular biology, genome engineering, and bioinformatics efforts across crops. You will develop high-throughput workflows and collaborate with researchers to advance genome editing projects.

The role requires a Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience, leadership skills, and a track record of publications and collaborations.

Formación

• Ph.D. and 5+ years of molecular biology and genome engineering experience.
• Experience leading research teams in academia or industry.
• Vector construction, assay development, and genome engineering expertise.
• Experience with sequencing technologies and genomic data analysis.
• Ability to mentor researchers and work across departments.

Responsabilidades

• Lead genome editing research across crop species and design targets.
• Develop protocols, assays, sequencing strategies, and high‑throughput genotyping.
• Analyze genomic data to support publications and proposals.
• Provide scientific leadership and training to staff and students.
