The University of Florida Health Cancer Institute (UFHCI) invites applications for a Senior Bioinformatics Research Scientist to join the Biostatistics and Computational Biology Shared Resource.

The successful candidate will work with cancer researchers from experimental design through analysis, interpretation, and publication, contributing to a broad project portfolio and co-authorship on peer-reviewed works.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in bioinformatics or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience.
• Experience with high-throughput genomics data analysis and interpretation.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and publication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze high-throughput genomics data (RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, methylation assays) to support UFHCI investigators.
• Consult with investigators on experimental design and analysis plans.
• Develop reproducible analysis pipelines and software on UF's HPC cluster.
• Integrate multi-omic and clinical data; adapt statistical methods as needed.
• Prepare figures, methods, and manuscript text for publications and grants.
