Job summary

EMD Serono in Billerica, MA is hiring a Senior Scientist for the New Biological Entities Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (NBE DMPK) group. You will contribute scientifically and operationally in R&D to deliver novel biotherapeutics.

Responsibilities include method development, assay validation, data interpretation, and collaboration across a matrixed team. A PhD with post-PhD experience is required, along with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry or related field with 2+ years post-PhD experience in quantitative ligand-binding assays for PK analysis.
• 2+ years of experience with NBEs, ADCs, AOCs, or other novel modalities.
• Experience in designing and validating bioanalytical methods for PK applications.

Responsibilities

• Development and validation of bioanalytical methods for molecules in discovery and development.
• Design of complex study designs, interpretation of analytical data, and reporting according to standards.
• Ensure timely, high-quality LBA deliverables for in vivo studies and supervise reagent characterization if needed.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to the lab manager for project issues.
• Conduct literature research to address technical issues and evaluate new analytical strategies.
• Monitor bioanalytical studies conducted at CROs.
