Eagle Electrical Services in Plain City, OH is seeking a Senior BIM/VDC Coordinator to lead modeling efforts for 2D and 3D coordination and shop drawings within the construction team.

The role requires guiding a small BIM/VDC team, coordinating with project management, engineers, and trades, and ensuring constructability and NEC compliance in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should bring extensive BIM/VDC experience, strong communication, and proven leadership; travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years as BIM/VDC Coordinator if Journeyman electrician; 6+ years preferred, or 6+ years as electrical BIM/VDC Coordinator with 7+ years preferred.
• Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Advanced knowledge of construction blueprint, specifications and RFIs (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and special systems).
• Proficient in 3D coordination with other trades and able to coach junior BIM/VDC members.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review 3D electrical drawings for field installations and coordination with other sub-contractor trades.
• Participates in coordination meetings to resolve clashes while maintaining budget, constructability and NEC code.
• Prepares documentation requesting clarification of original design in the form of RFIs and follow up responses.
• Reads architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical floor plans, sections and elevations.
• Confers with engineer of record and project management staff to resolve problems and explain drawings to production or construction teams.
• Travel to various project sites as required.
• Comply with all company operating policies, procedures and safety programs.
• Successfully manages a small BIM/VDC team.
• Backs up or acts on behalf of the BIM/VDC Manager, when required.
• Perform other duties as required
