A leading electrical contractor is seeking a Senior BIM Engineer in Lincoln, NE, to lead electrical modeling and coordination efforts on complex projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in BIM/VDC roles, advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks, and a strong understanding of NEC standards. This role involves mentoring junior staff, collaborating with field teams, and leading constructability reviews. The compensation is competitive with bonus opportunities and additional travel compensation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting electrical construction projects in BIM, VDC, or engineering roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading electrical coordination and constructability-driven modeling workflows.
• Proven ability to mentor junior technical staff and manage workload priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical modeling and coordination efforts for large-scale projects.
• Develop and coordinate advanced electrical systems including one-line diagrams.
• Drive clash-free model integration across multiple trades using Navisworks.
• Lead constructability reviews by identifying installation risks.
• Collaborate with prefabrication teams to integrate modularization strategies.
• Support value engineering initiatives with technical solutions.
• Mentor BIM Engineers and Designers providing guidance and oversight.
• Coordinate with project managers to align BIM deliverables.
• Participate in client-facing coordination meetings.

Skills

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD
