Job summary

Sterling Engineering in Lenexa, KS, is seeking a BIM Manager to lead the BIM coordination for a large-scale data center project.

You will supervise multi-disciplinary model workflows, ensure accurate 3D coordination across trades, and leverage Revit, Navisworks, and BIM360/ACC to drive field layout, takeoffs, and fabrication processes.

Travel to project locations as needed and collaborate with engineering teams to interpret construction documents and submittals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience utilizing BIM-based workflows.
• Minimum 8 years of Revit experience, including at least 4 years of full-time Revit use.
• 3+ years of professional experience with Navisworks and BIM360/ACC.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and procedures.
• Experience with 3D coordination across multiple trades.
• Proficiency with Autodesk products and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage full BIM scope coordination with engineering teams, trade partners, and vendors.
• Support field layout, model-based quantity takeoffs, and fabrication workflows.
• Coordinate 3D models across all trades.
• Review and interpret construction documents and submittals.
• Utilize Autodesk products, Navisworks, BIM360/ACC, and Revit for project execution.
• Travel to various project locations as needed.
