Job summary

Tailor seeks a Senior Bilingual Software Engineer to bridge Forward-Deployed U.S. teams and our Platform Core Engineering team in Japan. Reporting to the CTO, this role aligns product direction, platform evolution, and field execution in a two-speed organization.

You will synthesize ground-level priorities and constraints, translate intent and trade-offs, and drive cross-regional program execution with clear cadence and accountability.

Qualifications

• Near-native proficiency in English and Japanese to convey nuanced context across regions.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience with design and real-world implementation.
• Experience operating as a Software Engineer within a U.S.-based org with English as primary language.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary interface between U.S. Forward-Deployed teams and Platform Core in Japan, driving deep context alignment.
• Influence platform roadmap and product strategy based on real-world usage and field needs.
• Define and maintain clear priorities, milestones, and success criteria; manage dependencies and risks across workstreams.
