Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead QA, data validation, and end-to-end testing of enterprise reporting solutions and data structures. You will test SAP BusinessObjects reports, universes, and related semantic layers, while validating data through complex SQL queries across Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL Server.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and Agile teams to ensure data accuracy, performance, security, and proper alignment with client requirements.

Qualifications

• 5 years of overall tech experience in QA/ETL testing with 3+ years focused on SAP BusinessObjects reports, dashboards, and universes or a Masters with 3 years experience.
• Strong test plan and test script development experience for data warehousing, ETL processes, and complex BI environments.
• Deep functional understanding of SAP BusinessObjects suites (WebI, Crystal Reports, IDT/UDT Universes) and RBAC impact on report data visibility.
• Hands-on experience verifying complex data transformation logic and validating data across source systems to BO outputs.
• Advanced SQL skills for joining multiple tables and validating large data sets across Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server.
• Experience using automated testing frameworks or BI-specific regression testing tools to automate testing workflows.
• AWS experience (data stages, S3 external stages) and cloud-based data validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA, data validation, and end-to-end testing of enterprise reporting solutions, universes, and data structures.
• Split responsibilities between hands-on report and universe testing (WebI, Crystal Reports, .unx/.unv) semantic layers.
• Backend database/ETL validation with complex SQL for source-to-target mapping.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and Scrum/Kanban teams to ensure data accuracy and performance.
