Job summary

Amazon's SCOT team seeks a highly analytical Business Intelligence Engineer II in Austin, TX to build scalable data systems and reporting that drive delivery promises for millions of customers. You will collaborate with data engineers, software teams and product managers to mine data, develop dashboards, and provide insights through rigorous analysis and clear written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years analyzing data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL.
• 1+ years SQL, ETL, or Oracle experience.
• 1+ years processing large, multi-source datasets.
• 1+ years statistical analysis experience.
• 1+ years automated reporting experience.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, QuickSight).
• Data modeling, warehousing and ETL pipelines experience.
• Familiarity with R, SAS, Matlab.
• SQL data extraction and Python scripting for modeling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software teams to implement analytics systems and data structures for large-scale data analysis and delivery of machine learning and econometric models.
• Define, develop and maintain critical business and operational reports reviewed on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Analyze historical data to identify trends and support decision making, including written and verbal presentation of results and recommendations.
• Mine and manipulate data from database tables, simulation results, and log files.
• Identify data needs and drive data quality improvement projects.
• Understand the broad range of Amazon's data resources, which to use, how, and when.
• Provide thought leadership on data mining and analysis.
