Crane seeks an Analytics Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team in Houston. You will design solutions, map real-world activity to data, and help partners make better decisions through dashboards and data models.

You will build data models in Snowflake, develop Power BI datasets with DAX, and use dbt for transformations. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in analytics, strong SQL, and Python or R; on-site with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Four+ years of relevant professional experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Analytics Engineer
• Experience building dashboards or with visualization & designing user experiences
• Experience designing KPIs: you understand and can communicate the impacts of selecting one metric over another
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis without the need for current or future employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

• You'll contribute to problem-solving and solution design for BI
• You'll map real-world activity and processes to systems and data
• You'll serve as an internal consultant with business partners to improve decision-making
• You'll build and extend data models in Snowflake
• You'll develop backend models for Power BI datasets using DAX and related tooling
• You'll create dashboards and apps in Power BI for hundreds to thousands of global users
• You'll explore other solutions as needed while using an engineering-driven approach
