Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree or experience may substitute.
• 5+ years in BI/analytics/data engineering; deep SQL, dbt (2+ yrs), data modeling, Git, dashboards.
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Experience with Tableau or Power BI; JD Edwards a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and maintain the dbt environment used to transform data.
• Build and maintain dbt models moving data from bronze to gold with data quality tests.
• Translate business questions into data requirements and deliver answers.
• Design and build curated, business-facing gold layer data models across domains.
• Establish naming, testing, documentation, and version control standards.
• Publish and certify data sources with descriptions, owners, and refresh schedules.
• Own the certification standard and retirement criteria for sources.
• Centralize business calculations in the data layer and build KPIs/dashboards.
• Identify data quality gaps and work with source system owners to resolve.
• Contribute to data warehouse development with the BI team.
