Job summary

Amazon Advertising LLC in Seattle is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to partner with the Advertising Finance team and drive data-driven decisions for Publisher monetization across Stores and Verticals.

You will design robust data infrastructure, develop scalable solutions, and translate complex business problems into analytics initiatives, collaborating with product managers, data engineers, and senior leadership to fuel growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years analyzing data with Redshift, Oracle, or NoSQL.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries.
• SQL data extraction from databases and Python scripting for modeling.
• Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab.
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau or QuickSight.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, build, and maintain scalable data solutions, including infrastructure, pipeline, reporting, to support long-term business strategies
• Simplify and re-invent current data solutions to support the business scope expansion
• Explore and deep dive into new areas across various ad programs as well as business functions to support business decision making
• Translate business problems into data questions, find solutions to solve those questions with resourcefulness
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to business leadership
• Work cross-functionally with other teams in various job families to gather data sources to provide a comprehensive view of the business
• Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting/analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation
