Job summary

SSA is seeking an IT Specialist at the GS-14 level to advance large-scale BI applications. The role requires leadership in design, development, and support, with emphasis on ETL, database architectures, and cloud-driven modernization.

Applicants must have specialized IT experience at GS-13 or higher and be U.S. citizens. Telework eligibility is determined by policy; onsite 75% is expected at Woodlawn, MD.

Qualifications

• Specialized IT experience at or above GS-13 level is required.
• Experience leading design, development, testing, and support of MI/BI applications.
• Experience building ETL solutions and database architectures using SQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, Ab Initio, Linux scripting, Crontab, and JCL.
• Ability to communicate complex BI concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Specialized Experience is REQUIRED and must be documented in your resume.

Responsibilities

• Delivers specialized technical direction for advanced business applications.
• Coordinates integration of large-scale technology solutions.
• Facilitates adoption of new technologies including cloud computing and AI to improve automation.
• Directs implementation and coordination for complex data systems and architectures.
• Provides technical leadership for multiple products and projects.
• Develops coordinated approaches to migration to cloud and AI-driven tools.
• Provides high-level analytical expertise for IT investments.
