Job summary

WorkScoop is seeking an IT Specialist (APPSW) Data Solutions Developer to lead MI/BI data environments and develop ETL pipelines. The role covers building scalable data architectures, scripting across SQL ecosystems, and delivering WebFOCUS reporting solutions.

The candidate will communicate BI concepts to diverse audiences and mentor team members, ensuring robust MI/BI solutions and data governance across platforms.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience at the GS‑12 level (or equivalent) in or related to the position.
• Proficiency in SQL-based technologies (SQL, PL/pgSQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DB2, Oracle).
• Experience with Ab Initio, Linux shell scripting, Crontab, and mainframe JCL.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data modeling.

Summary

Responsible for technical leadership in designing, building, and maintaining ETL solutions and database architectures to support Management Information (MI) and Business Intelligence (BI) applications. Works with SQL, PL/pgSQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DB2, Oracle, Ab Initio, Linux shell scripting, Crontab, and mainframe JCL, and supports WebFOCUS reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support MI and BI applications and data environments.
