Job summary
Boston Beer Company is seeking a Senior BI Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions powering analytics across the organization. You will work hands-on with Databricks, Azure data services, and modern data engineering practices to deliver reliable, scalable data products.
You will mentor engineers, lead complex data initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to modernize platforms while improving reliability and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics engineering.
- 3+ years with Databricks in production environments.
- Strong experience with Databricks Lakehouse, Spark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and distributed data processing.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support scalable Databricks Lakehouse data pipelines using Spark, Delta Lake, SQL, and Python.
- Lead technical design and delivery for complex data initiatives across systems and functions.
- Diagnose production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement reliable, scalable solutions.
- Develop reusable data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, testing, monitoring, and production support frameworks.
