Job summary

Verra Mobility is seeking a data analyst/BI specialist to partner with stakeholders to build and maintain BI solutions. You will collect data from multiple sources, validate quality, and develop reports and dashboards to drive insights.

The role requires experience with Power BI and SSRS paginated reports, strong data modeling skills, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable analytics. You will work with cross-functional teams in a data-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in related field
• 2 years minimum experience developing BI and analytics solutions
• Knowledge of relational databases, querying, and data warehousing (Oracle/SQL Server)
• Experience building paginated reports with SSRS using Visual Studio and/or Report Builder
• Proficiency with scripting and programming languages (R, Python)
• Experience in data warehouse environments (ETL, data extraction, transformation, loading)
• Data analysis and modeling using Excel and statistical tools
• Ability to understand the need behind the need and translate into requirements
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to present complex results to technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent data visualization skills, especially with Power BI

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to identify and validate business requirements for data, metrics, reports, dashboards, and BI solutions
• Query, collect and evaluate data from multiple sources and structure data for analysis and reporting
• Test and validate data quality, data flow and BI solutions
• Perform statistical analysis and modeling to derive insights
• Create hypotheses and experiments to uncover relationships and develop analytics methods
• Visualize information and develop reports and dashboards showing analysis results
• Influence stakeholders with data-driven insights and recommendations
• Design, develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and other BI solutions
• Monitor, support and refine reports and BI solutions over time
• Implement new tools to improve data flow and analytics efficiency
