Job summary

EXL is seeking an experienced BI professional for its New Jersey operations. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive dashboards and reports using Amazon QuickSight, while coordinating with business users and data engineers to ensure accurate, KPI-aligned insights.

Candidate will lead workshops, define scope and priority for dashboards, and oversee testing, UAT, and deployments. Requires strong SQL, data analysis, and stakeholder communication skills with 8–12 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Approximately 8–12 years of BI, reporting, or analytics experience.
• Experience gathering and documenting dashboard and reporting requirements.
• Strong SQL and data-analysis skills.
• Working knowledge of QuickSight datasets, analyses, dashboards, and SPICE.
• Understanding KPIs, dimensional models, and data reconciliation.
• Experience preparing report specifications and wireframes.
• Strong client-facing and workshop facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workshops with business users, product owners, data owners, and tech stakeholders.
• Understand objectives, reporting use cases, KPIs, and analytical requirements.
• Define scope and priority of each new QuickSight report or dashboard.
• Prepare report wireframes or mock-ups and obtain client approval.
• Identify source tables, views, fields, joins, filters, and data granularity.
• Document source-to-report mappings and transformation rules.
• Coordinate with the data-engineering team for reporting data requirements.
• Maintain the reporting backlog, priorities, and RAID.
• Perform functional testing and data reconciliation.
• Coordinate demonstrations, UAT, defect resolution, and business sign-off.
• Coordinate production deployment and post-production validation.
