Job summary

Redwood Materials in the United States seeks a Senior BESS Superintendent to lead field project teams, oversee in‑house installers, subcontractors, and vendors, and ensure alignment with budgets and schedules for BESS installations and related infrastructure.

The role requires daily onsite presence during active work periods, enforcing safety and quality standards while coordinating with internal teams and external regulators.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of construction supervision experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree is a plus.
• Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• OSHA 30hr certified is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Experience with 3D model reviews, Navisworks, clash reviews preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract specific plans and specifications.
• Willing to travel or relocate to project site for project duration preferred (projects in IL, MI, TX, & future locations).

Responsibilities

• Supervises assigned project work and coordinates between engineering, estimating, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure compliance with contract drawings, specifications, budget, and schedule.
• Plans work methods, materials, equipment needs, and production schedules while updating forecasts and adjusting work plans to mitigate project risks and production issues.
• Reviews and interprets project specifications to support job setup, construction execution, inspections, and project closeout activities in accordance with company and AHJ requirements.
• Manages site work, site access, medium to low voltage electrical work, and BESS installation.
• Coordinates with internal teams, vendors, utilities, and regulatory agencies to ensure proper equipment, materials, inspections, and construction support are delivered on schedule.
• Promotes and enforces strict safety, process control, and documentation standards related to operating equipment, electrical systems, transformers, generators, and overall jobsite operations.
• Leads project alignment meetings, documents project activities, supports workforce development and training needs, and performs additional assignments as directed by management.
