Job summary

Athletic Brewing is seeking a Benefits Manager in San Diego, CA. The role anchors 401(k) program management, health and ancillary benefits, and payroll administration support in a fast-paced, in-office setting.

You will partner with brokers, TPAs, and vendors, ensuring compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and other regulations while delivering superior service to employees. The position offers a discretionary bonus and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in benefits administration with focus on 401(k), health benefits, and pharmacy benefits.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA and related compliance.
• Experience with captive insurance structures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 401(k) program admin, plus compliance and audits.
• Manage self-funded medical plan, claims data and cost containment.
• Support end-to-end payroll processing and related filings.
• Coordinate with brokers, TPAs, and providers; educate employees.
