Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking an experienced leader to oversee workers’ compensation, short/long-term disability and absence programs.

You will partner with HR, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and IT to design compliant policies, optimize costs, and deliver a seamless employee experience. This role serves as the senior owner of absence management in the HRSS ecosystem, leads a team, ensures regulatory compliance, and guides return-to-work strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 8+ years in leave, disability and workers' compensation.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal benefit regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to build internal and external relationships.
• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workers’ compensation, disability, and absence programs with vendors and internal teams.
• Lead policy design, compliance, and communication related to leave programs.
• Partner with HR, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and IT to implement regulatory changes in systems.
• Manage return-to-work strategies and reduce lost time through transitional duties.
• Coach and develop a team responsible for absence programs and related compliance.
