Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience working with NDIS participants, especially adults with mental health challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of NDIS legislation and experience in developing training content.

About the Role

Senior Practitioners at Lojic are committed to improving the quality of life of the people we support, and improving the practice quality of the rest of our team.

Here are some of the key day-to-day duties:

  1. Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments to understand the individual’s strengths, challenges, and triggers for challenging behaviours.
  2. Developing Behaviour Support Plans: Collaborate with individuals, families, and other stakeholders to create personalized Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans.
  3. Skill Development: Work on building essential life skills, communication abilities, and social interactions for individuals.
  4. Training and Education: Provide training and education to families, caregivers, and support networks to ensure consistent implementation of the PBS plan.
  5. Supervision: Provide weekly supervision to entry and mid-level practitioners to analyse performance, foster growth, and promote a learning culture.

Qualifications & Experience
  1. Holds a relevant post-graduate qualification in allied health or applied behaviour analysis (MA/MSc or PhD in behaviour analysis or PBS preferred)
  2. Be certified as a BCBA (Or CBA)
  3. Holds an NDIS worker clearance and Working with Children Check
  4. Has been endorsed and deemed suitable as an advanced or specialist Practitioner by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
  5. A minimum of 2 years experience working with NDIS participants including experience working with adult populations and those with mental health challenges
  6. Direct experience in an implementation environment, such as support work highly preferred
  7. Understanding of relevant NDIS legislation and how to apply this to the role, in particular how this applies to regulated restrictive practices across multiple jurisdictions
  8. A minimum of 3 years experience in developing training content and delivering trainings
