Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Senior Behavioral Health Care Management Clinician to help members navigate the health care system, linking them to behavioral health providers, treatment, and programs. You will assess emotional well-being and coordinate resources while supporting crisis intervention and complex referrals.

This role requires leadership, collaboration with physicians and care managers, and a strong focus on psychosocial assessments, care planning, and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Requires five years of prior relevant experience, including three years in behavioral health.
• Proficient in psychosocial assessments and care planning for complex clients.
• Knowledge of a wide range of psychosocial challenges and behavioral health diagnoses.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Help members navigate the health care system for linkages to behavioral health providers, treatment, and programs.
• Assess emotional and psychological well-being and provide resource coordination.
• Consult physicians and care managers on complex psychosocial needs.
• Focus on crisis intervention, counseling, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
• Engage in education, advocacy, and community resource linkages.
