Job summary

Beauty Chain Manufacturing (BCM) is seeking an experienced Senior Formulation Chemist to rapidly develop and innovate color cosmetics, skincare, hair care, body care, and OTC products for today’s leading beauty brands.

You will take formulations from concept through commercialization, balancing scientific rigor with practical cost considerations, and collaborating with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to bring new ideas to market quickly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related discipline.
• 2+ years of progressive formulation and product development experience in color cosmetics, skincare, hair care, body care, and OTC.
• Experience scaling formulations from laboratory batches to full-scale manufacturing.
• Extensive knowledge of cosmetic formulation science and raw materials.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and develop color cosmetics, skincare, hair care, body care, and OTC products—from emulsions to cleansers—from concept through commercial launch.
• Balance bold innovation with cost-conscious ingredient choices to meet performance and price targets.
• Translate briefs into winning formulations quickly, including rapid pricing and costing.
• Source innovative, high-performing materials and manage vendor relationships to bring fresh ideas to market.
• Serve as technical mentor for laboratory staff and provide formulation direction to manufacturing teams.
• Scale formulations from lab bench to full-scale production with reliable technology transfer and quality.
