Job summary

The Colorado Rockies are recruiting a senior-level analyst to join Baseball Analytics with a focus on developing and deploying predictive models and forecasts. This role may be filled at Senior Analyst or Lead Analyst level based on experience and scope.

The person will help turn baseball questions into rigorous analysis, deployed models, and clear recommendations for Baseball Operations staff, collaborating across coaches, scouts, and front office.

Qualifications

• Own complex analytical projects from scoping through delivery.
• Analytical work informs decisions or improves workflows with baseball relevance.
• Strong judgment in model development, validation, reproducibility, and communication.
• Communicate priorities, uncertainty, and tradeoffs across technical and nontechnical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, document, and deploy predictive models and forecasts with autonomy.
• Communicate findings and implications to analytics colleagues and front office.
• Collaborate to identify forecasting questions worth testing and repeat analyses.
