Job summary

Stellantis NV in Auburn, AL seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to EE/core and powertrain base software. You will analyze requirements, design, code, and test, and help produce software design documents and test plans.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with controls, calibration, and systems engineers, with emphasis on base software development, bootloaders, and virtualization techniques in the software life cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of overall experience.
• Embedded C/C++ software development experience (hand-coding).
• Experience with programming/scripting languages and adherence to a defined software development process.
• Experience with Vector/ETAS/AUTOSAR Basic Software configuration of DEM/DCM modules.
• Software verification/validation including white/black/gray box testing; data acquisition tools usage.

Responsibilities

Job description

The BSW Embedded Software Engineer will be working within a team of engineers responsible for the development of basic software components for EE/core and powertrain control modules. The Candidate will perform software requirements analysis, design, coding, test plan creation and testing for EE/core and powertrain base software. The team will perform reviews and/or inspections of requirements, creation of: Software design documents, C/C++/assembly code, test plans,as well as, testing and embracing virtualization methods and techniques used in the ba base software development life cycle. This Candidate will interact with other department/vendors on eliciting software requirements and work in a cross-functional environment with controls, calibration, and systems engineers. Experience working in Base SW and/ or Bootloaders is a plus.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, ComputerEngineeringor a related field
• 8 years' overall experience
• Experience with embedded C/C++ software (hand-coding)
• Experience in programming / scripting language(s) Adherence to a defined software development process.
• Experience in Vector/ETAS/AUTOSAR Basic Software configuration of DEM/DCM modules
• Experience in software verification / validation including white box, black box and gray box testing Experience using data acquisition tools
• Strong communicationskills, both verbal and written Ability to adapt to a changing environment with minimal effect on productivity
• Familiarity of industry standard process framework models (ASPICE, ISO 26262)
• Experience with VectorCANoe/CANAnlayzer
• Experience with NXP Cobra-55 ,AurixTC family of automotive microprocessors
• Experience using Lauterbach debuggers

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering Automotiveexperience either at work or university, such as Formula SAE or SAEEcoCar.
• Experience in Vector SLP communication stack configurations and implementation of CAN/LIN/XCPElectrobitEBTREOS Studio MICROSAR configuration Embedded C/C++ software experience in a Real Time Operating System environment
• Experience with ETAS INCA, ISOLAR, System Desk Experience implementing Embedded Real-Time Controls and Software solutions
• Experience with development of bootloader SW
• Strong understanding of internal combustion engines, hybrid, battery electric and/or vehicle subsystems
