Job summary

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is seeking a BAS Programmer/Engineer for a client in building automation with strong DDC knowledge. JCI familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities include programming DDC systems, testing sequences, developing site graphics, training end users, and ensuring continuous operation of BAS programs. The role requires independent work and collaboration with engineers, contractors, and commissioning agents on site.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer tech, HVAC or equivalent, or 5 years related experience.
• 5–7 years of experience servicing electronic control and HVAC equipment.
• Ability to act independently and coordinate work on a job site.
• Strong interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and contacts.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people.
• PC experience and ability to program DDC software.

Responsibilities

• Program DDC systems.
• Ensure proper operation of building control sequences.
• Test inputs/outputs for proper operation.
• Configure and test alarms.
• Develop site graphics.
• Provide end-user training as needed.
• Ensure continuous operation of BAS programs.
• Program controls to integrate building systems.
• Read/modify programming software for multiple control manufacturers.
• Collaborate with engineers and contractors to field-verify problem areas.
