Job summary

Western Alliance Bank seeks a Senior Banking Operations Manager to lead the Escheatment, Tax Reporting and Support Services team. You will ensure accurate, timely tax processing, withholding, and remittance, while managing regulatory obligations and enterprise unclaimed property activities.

You will partner with Corporate Tax, Compliance, Legal, and external vendors to balance production demands with filing deadlines, audits, and process improvements, while maintaining strong controls and staff

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience in Banking Operations or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Previous leadership experience in a matrixed organization.
• Advanced knowledge of banking operations and regulatory obligations.
• Experience with informational tax reporting, withholding, FATCA, and unclaimed property.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a BOS team with clear priorities and accountability.
• Oversee informational tax reporting including Forms 1099, 1042-S, 5498, and related filings.
• Monitor withholding, GL reconciliations, EFTPS remittances, and year-end reporting support.
• Direct NRA and Form W-8 operations including reviews and certifications.
• Lead end-to-end B Notice and TIN compliance processes and related notices.
• Oversee enterprise unclaimed property cycle and vendor relationships.
