Job summary

Monstro in New York is seeking a seasoned banking and financial services compliance expert to serve as the company’s regulatory authority—internally and in the market. You will translate regulatory expertise into guardrails for product and engineering, and you’ll be the face of Monstro’s regulatory credibility with banks and regulators.

This is an in‑person role in New York, based at The Spiral in Hudson Yards with four days in the office.

Qualifications

• Deep, practitioner-level knowledge of banking and financial services regulation.
• Experience engaging directly with senior stakeholders: bank executives, regulators, board members.
• Hands-on in an early-stage environment; you will be building, not managing a team that builds.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Monstro's external regulatory authority.
• Define practical guardrails for AI outputs and data governance.
• Translate regulatory expectations into concrete product requirements early in the development cycle.
• Own the trust and assurance roadmap with security and engineering.
