Job summary

Maes Solutions is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Banking) with 9+ years in financial services to join our team in New York. The role focuses on capital markets, investment banking, and asset management domains, including AML/KYC, risk and compliance, and post-trade operations.

The ideal candidate will translate complex business needs into technology and process solutions, develop BRDs/FRDs, and collaborate across front, middle, and back office.

Qualifications

• 9+ years as a Business Analyst in Financial Services or Banking.
• Deep domain expertise across Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and Asset Management.
• Experience with AML/KYC, regulatory standards (MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, Basel III).
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Front, Middle, and Back Office to gather, document, and analyze requirements across trading, settlement, and post-trade operations.
• Apply knowledge of Capital Markets and Fixed Income to define processes and design system enhancements.
• Ensure AML/KYC, MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, and Basel III adherence in workflows and systems.
• Develop BRDs, FRDs, Use Cases, and UML/BPMN diagrams for system design and integration.
• Act as liaison between business users, technology, compliance, and product owners.
• Perform data mapping, reconciliation, and reporting for instruments and risk across portfolios.
• Support UAT by defining acceptance criteria and test cases.
• Identify and mitigate operational, market, and credit risks.
• Drive process automation and digital transformation in trading workflows.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting financial domain.
