PURPOSE
Responsible for executing essential Treasury and banking functions with a high level of accuracy and timeliness. Assists with Treasury projects, bank structure, and relationship management. Provides guidance to the Corporate Administrative Assistant. The candidate should demonstrate intellectual curiosity, be a self-starter, and able to initiate actions independently.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Process daily wires, ACHs, and book transfers, totaling over $700MM annually, following established policies and procedures.
- Handle biweekly Housing payroll files and reports, collaborating with senior leadership to ensure timely funding.
- Monitor Treasury email, respond to research requests promptly, and resolve issues with minimal guidance.
- Maintain positive relationships with depository banks.
- Participate in Treasury projects and initiatives.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Train, coach, and develop the Corporate Administrative Assistant and cross-train other staff as needed.
- Create and maintain Treasury policies and procedures, ensuring proper controls and compliance.
- Manage approximately 1,600 bank accounts, ensuring proper documentation including KYC, resolutions, and signatories.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities related to acquisitions, divestitures, refinances, and management contracts in partnership with the Development team and field leadership.
- Maintain knowledge of Treasury Management System, assist with testing upgrades and enhancements.
- Administer bank portal access, review controls, and collaborate with external auditors on security measures.
- Assist other departments with month-end and ad-hoc requests.
- Maintain familiarity with Yardi AP/GL and Workday systems.
- Manage New Jersey security deposit accounts, including escrow transfers, audits, and balance analysis.
- Serve as back-up to assigned staff as needed.

JOB SPECIFICATION
- Education: Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience: 2-4 years in retail or commercial banking, accounting, or finance, with knowledge of banking and treasury management. Experience with HUD and LIHTC properties is a plus.
- Mental Skills: Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented, quick learner, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, accurate environment. Proficient in English and industry terminology.
- Skills: Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with banking and cash management systems is advantageous.
