Job summary

The role requires CPA knowledge or progress, 7+ years in accounting at supervisory level, and strong financial analysis skills. Opportunity to lead the Trust Company controller duties as well.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with CPA prep and additional credits for CPA licensure.
• CPA designation preferred for accounting leadership roles.
• Minimum seven years of accounting experience at supervisor or controller level.
• Proficient use of Word, Excel, Outlook and internet research.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and ensure proper recording of all financial transactions in the General Ledger system.
• Prepare annual financial statements and footnotes for the published annual report and audits.
• Prepare SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K) and present at Audit Committee meetings.
• Prepare quarterly regulatory reports (FR Y-SP, Call Report) for Federal Reserve.
• Record monthly adjusting journal entries (depreciation, prepaids, reserves, tax accruals).
• Close monthly periods and prepare internal financial statements for management.
• Oversee General Ledger department; assist with AP, reconciliations, and personnel issues.
• Analyze accounting data to support profitability and fiscal soundness.
