Job summary

HonorVet Technologies is seeking a Senior Backup Solutions Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level backup and disaster recovery solutions. This role focuses on robust, scalable data protection across on-premises and cloud workloads in a demanding environment.

You will lead architecture efforts for VMware, Windows, Linux, AIX, and storage platforms, leveraging Commvault, Zerto, and related technologies to ensure RPO/RTO goals are met for federal/state/enterprise clients.

Title: Senior Backup Solutions Architect

Required Skills:

• The Senior Backup Solutions Architect will have the experience and knowledge of designing, implementing, and optimizing robust backup and disaster recovery solutions for enterprise-level systems and applications.
• The Sr. Backup Solutions Architect will have extensive experience and knowledge of architecting enterprise data backup and recovery for diverse on-premises workloads, including VMware, AIX, Client-UX, NAS, Windows, and Linux environments.
• They will possess a strong understanding of native backup setups for cloud service providers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP.
• The Sr. Backup Solutions Architect will have expertise in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Commvault SaaS for protecting Microsoft Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Azure VMs, Blob Storage, AWS EC2, EFS, S3, and GCP VMs; ability to architect end-to-end backup, replication, and DR solutions using HPE Zerto; demonstrate proficiency in configuring and managing high-speed backups and restores using IntelliSnap, handling database backups (Oracle, MS-SQL, DB2, PostgreSQL), and managing immutable storage buckets (GCP, AWS, Azure) with WORM configurations in Commvault; and expertise in Commvault Hyperscale appliances, VTL, and tape libraries, as well as Auto Recovery solutions for VMware and cloud integrations.

Additional Experience Required

• 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting backup and disaster recovery solutions for enterprise environments.
• 5+ years of experience with HPE Zerto
• 5+ years of experience with Command Center and CommCell Console
• 5+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting for automating tasks.
• 5+ years of experience with Protecting large-scale virtualization (VMware) environments
• 5+ years of experience in creating and managing storage policies, schedule policies, Aux Copies, DDB backups.
• 5+ years of experience with Cloud Providers: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

Additional Education Required

This classification requires the possession of a bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.

Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
